Release notes for every version of Poetic, newest first. To update, follow [How do I update Poetic to a new version?](/others/faqs/how-do-i-update-poetic-to-a-new-version.md) {% endhint %} ## Version 1.6.1 This update adds variant image grouping and an optional parallax effect for the Hero banner, refines the theme's arrow icons and image loading state, and includes several fixes. ### Added * Added **Variant image groups** to the Product information section, so selecting a variant shows only the images assigned to it (via a variant metafield), with options for unassigned media and for variants without a group. * Added an optional **parallax effect** to the Hero banner block in the Header section (desktop). * Refined the **arrow icons** used across the theme — pagination, text buttons, sliders, cart drawer and product recommendations — for a lighter, more consistent look. * Improved the **image loading placeholder** so it matches the surrounding background and fades out smoothly once the image has loaded. ### Fixes * Fixed the **Adapt section height to image size** setting in the Hero banner, which didn't size the section to the image correctly. * Fixed the sold-out strike-through on **Variant picker** buttons extending beyond rounded buttons, and not showing correctly in Quick view. * Fixed the **Add to cart** loading indicator being invisible, especially with the Outline button style and button animation turned off. * Fixed the product recommendation arrows in the **Cart drawer** not working after an item was added to the cart. * Fixed unstyled **Local pickup** information appearing below the footer after opening Quick view. ## Version 1.6 This update adds a Frequently bought together block, a Follow on Instagram footer block, a new Drawers settings group with a Floating card style, more customization options, and several fixes. ### Added * Added the **Frequently bought together** block to the product page, so shoppers can add matching items together in one step. * Added a **Follow on Instagram** block to the footer to help grow your social following. * Added a **Drawers** settings group to manage the cart, search, and quick add drawers in one place — including a Floating card style, position, width, and overlay. * Added **Quick add** settings, including the option to add an item straight to the cart or open the drawer. * Added **header icon styles** and an **On scroll up** header option that hides the header as shoppers scroll down and brings it back when they scroll up. * Added settings to adjust **layout, corner radius, and borders** across the theme. * Added more **Variant picker** options, including swatch size and shape. * Added the option to show a **collection image inside each Subcollections button**, with size and border controls. * Added smoother animations to the **mobile menu** and the **search and cart drawers**. ### Fixes * Fixed the search drawer height and spacing in the Floating card style. * Fixed the Quick add "add to cart" option so it shows a loading state and opens the cart drawer instead of redirecting. * Fixed extra spacing above sticky product information when using the On scroll up header. * Fixed corner radius on several cart and product elements for a more consistent look. * Fixed content spacing in the Promo bar on some screen sizes. * Fixed the Boxed tab style and added a smooth transition when switching tabs. * Fixed Subcollections buttons stretching on some screen sizes. ## Version 1.5 This update adds three new sections — Expanding gallery, Comparison table, and Age verifier — introduces configurable banner heights, and includes several refinements. ### Added * Added the **Expanding gallery** section, an interactive gallery where selecting a panel expands it to reveal its content. * Added the **Comparison table** section, to compare products or features side by side. * Added the **Age verifier** section, an age-gate popup shown before entering the store. * Added configurable **Banner heights** in theme settings, with tablet and mobile scaling. * Added a **Custom** height option to the **Image banner** and **Media with text** sections. * Added an optional **sticky bundle summary** on mobile to the **Bundle builder**. ### Fixes * Fixed the **Slideshow** section not responding to the tablet height scale. ## Version 1.4 This update adds a Bundle builder section, multi-step cart rewards, a cart reserve timer, and several fixes. ### Added * Added the **Bundle builder** section, letting shoppers build a bundle and unlock quantity-based discount tiers. * Added **Milestones** to the cart: a rewards bar with up to two rewards. Your existing free shipping bar settings carry over as the first milestone. * Added **Cart reserve**, an optional countdown in the cart drawer that encourages checkout. * Added optional **tab images** and a new **Boxed** tab style to the Collection tabs section. * Added a **Swatch hover style** setting to the Variant picker block. ### Fixes * Fixed a false quantity limit warning appearing when removing an item from the cart. * Fixed the Back to top button appearing on short pages when the page was already at the top. * Fixed the swatch selection ring showing on unavailable options, and not matching the swatch corner radius. * Fixed Recently viewed cards ignoring the Image ratio setting. * Fixed the Footer Text block image being cropped at the edges. * Made more text translatable, including the cart drawer, the product review count, and the Collection list "View collection" button. ## Version 1.3 This update adds two new sections, new Product page blocks, a new Collection card style, and several fixes. ### Added * Added the **Sticky text with images** section. * Added the **Product cards** section. * Added a **Ships to** block to the Product information section. * Added a **Horizontal tabs** block to the Product information section. * Added a **Button** style for Collection cards. ### Fixes * Fixed the Featured collection navigation arrows not being clickable. * Fixed Icon list images appearing blurry and not following the Icon size setting. * Fixed a layout issue with the Variant picker Text style. ## Version 1.2.1 ### Fixes * Fixed cart drawer and cart page issues where items could not be removed and prices did not update correctly on quantity change. * Fixed cross-sells product images in the cart drawer loading indefinitely when lazy loading was used in the hidden drawer. ## Version 1.2 This update adds five new sections, new blocks for existing sections, product page enhancements, and improved internationalization. ### Added * Added five new sections: **Text highlight**, **Banner with hotspots**, **Image with hotspots**, **Dynamic rich text**, and **Dual slider**. * Added new **Scrolling images** and **Rating** blocks to the Image banner section. * Added new **Button** block to the Header section. * Added new **Custom badges** block to the Product page. * Added **Number display** with count-up animation to the Grid section. * Added **Sticky add-to-cart** floating bar on the Product page. * Added **Threads** social media link support. * Added navigation arrows for featured media galleries. * Added smooth accordion open/close transitions. ### Fixes and other improvements * Made around 40 more pieces of theme text translatable, so your whole store can be localized. * Updated and completed the German and French translations. * Added the new theme text to the Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese translations. ## Version 1.1 We've added two new presets, **Lunara** and **Sonnet**.
